Alireza Mohebbi
My journey as a content creator began in Tabriz, Iran, where my passion for art and imagery set me apart from the conventional paths of being engineer and doctor and becoming rich. At 17, I fell in love with the language of cinema, dedicating my life to capturing the world through a lens. Despite graduating in Fluid Mechanics in 2014, I followed my heart into cinematography, co-founding Studio Anar. Over a decade, I filmed over 500 weddings, 50 commercials, and 120 product reviews, inspired by mentors like Ben Long, Philip Bloom, Vincent Laforet, and Peter McKinnon. Five months ago, I moved to the Netherlands with my wife, continuing my creative journey at Colorwood Photo, producing captivating content that celebrates art and life.
Wat doe je in je vrije tijd?
I’ve loved movies since I was a kid, and my passion for cinema continues in my personal life. I enjoy watching films and series, learning from classic masterpieces to find my own style. I also love spending time with my wife, trying new things, and enjoying simple hobbies. My music taste is diverse, from Persian classical to hard rock. Watching football and playing video games are other activities that get my adrenaline going and keep me inspired.
Wat is jouw affiniteit met fotografie?
Photography is like breathing to me. Imagine a world without photos—it’s a universal language everyone can understand. I believe a single photo can say more than a long movie or text. That’s why I work hard to improve my photography skills, so I can tell my stories through cinematography. Many great cinematographers started as photographers, and I aim to follow in their footsteps.
